This summer, Big Pixel and friends will choose 10 – 15 of the most promising startups in the Triangle and give them the tools and knowledge to create something amazing.

One of these startups will be chosen to have their MVP built for FREE.

Startup Crash Course

Our goal with the #thebigidea project is to provide everything a great idea needs to succeed. To find out exactly what we needed to offer we partnered with some of the best and brightest people in the Triangle and came up with a process to teach promising entrepreneurs everything they need to do to build something that will last. The end result is a FREE 6-week crash course in startups.

Using Big Pixel’s unique brand of no-holds barred tough love, we will give you the unvarnished truth of what it takes to move a startup out of your head and into the real world. Each week we will focus on a single topic and give plenty of time for your team to work, ask questions with other teams and, most importantly, get time with your mentor. At the end of the course we will select three teams to be our finalists and one of those lucky few will be chosen to get The Prize!

Want to learn more before you submit an application?

We know that the more you learn about the project, the more excited you will be, so we have created several different ways for you to get all of your questions answered.

The Prize

Once the class is finished all of the mentors will get together (probably over a beer) and decide which three teams are the most ready to take the next steps. These three will compete in a “pitch” competition in early September. A single winner will be selected to win the following pile of awesomeness:

  • Free marketing website developed by Big Pixel
  • Free MVP of your app (web or mobile) designed and developed by Big Pixel
  • 6-months of free co-working space at HQ Raleigh
  • Marketing and other help from the NC State Entrepreneurship Clinic
  • And more (we are still working on other prizes so check back!)
